Wax is a mobile detailing marketplace providing car and boat detailing services to any eligible location you want.  We offer a variety of services to meet all your detailing needs, ranging from interior deep cleans to ceramic coats.

To give your car the quality of service it deserves, our technicians need access to a couple of things:

  • Water
  • Electricity
  • Shade

Any location with reasonable access to these three things is considered an eligible location.  If you cannot find a location with all of these features, let us know and we will try to work with you.  However, many of our services are only available with all three. If you would like an executive detail, ceramic detail, or boat buffing, we ask that your location have reliable shade as the products we use are extremely sensitive to the sun.

Unfortunately, no.  Since Wax is a marketplace, we are unable to assign technicians to a specific customer.  However, we hold all of our technicians to a very high standard, and we take your feedback extremely seriously.  We encourage you to rate your technician to help us maintain the highest possible quality.

Ultimately, that’s up to you and what you feel is best for your car.  However, we can offer you a few guidelines to help you make your decision.

  • If you don’t care too much about the exterior of your car, we recommend that you choose either the interior detail or the basic detail.  Although a shiny car may not be your top priority, nobody dislikes it, and it’s generally a good idea to protect your paint with a coat of wax.  The basic detail can provide both perks at the lowest price point.
  • If your car’s paint is rough to the touch, we recommend either the executive detail or the ceramic detail.  With the executive detail, we apply a polish to the paint which removes the particles stuck to your paint. The ceramic detail does the same thing a little more effectively with a clay bar.  Both services will leave your car supremely smooth.
  • If you’re looking for a lasting showroom shine, we recommend the ceramic detail.  In this service, we use a ceramic coat, providing paint protection, enriched color, and ease of care for up to two years with proper maintenance. 

We recommend that you detail the interior of your car three or four times per year, once per season.  We recommend that you detail the exterior of the car at least twice per year, either before summer and before winter or after summer and after winter.  We also recommend that you treat the exterior of your car with some kind of polish, as offered in our executive and ceramic details, at least once every 3 details.  

If you receive our ceramic detail, you shouldn’t need the exterior of your car detailed for 18-24 months, provided you regularly wash your car and do not try to wax or buff over the ceramic coat.
